Duryodhana spoke
While our forces, fortified by Bhishma, (though larger in number) are limited in strength, the army of the sons of Pāndu, bolstered by Bhima, {despite being limited in numerical strength} is formidably equipped. (1:10)

अपर्याप्तं तदस्माकं बलं भीष्माभिरक्षितम् ।
पर्याप्तं त्विदमेतेषां बलं भीमाभिरक्षितम् ॥

Commentary
Duryodhana was well aware of Arjuna's exceptional abilities and had heard about and also personally witnessed the miraculous power of Bhagawān Krishna, who was already recognized as the incarnation of the Personified God, Bhagawān Vishnu. Additionally, Duryodhana understood the unity among the Pāndavas. This verse exposes Duryodhana's genuine concerns as he admits that despite having superior numbers, his own army was "limited in strength." Here, Duryodhana's subconscious apprehensions become evident.
