Commentary
The Bhakti Yoga path, known as the Path of Loving Devotion, prominently emphasizes the intensity of feelings toward God. However, it would be inaccurate to assume that other spiritual paths or Yogas require no feelings or emotions toward Him. Saint Yogānanda, who followed the Path of Meditation, noted in his "Autobiography of a Yogi" that even during continuous meditation, catching a glimpse of God may remain elusive without a profound longing for God’s presence. Therefore, it can be said that feelings and emotions play a vital role in the advancement of all spiritual paths or Yogas, though they are the primary driving force in the Path of Loving Devotion.
