कर्मयोग

Meaning

Supreme God Krishna spoke

Naturally, our senses are drawn to some things and repelled by others. However, we shouldn't be governed by these attractions or aversions inherent in our nature, as they can derail us {from our true purpose}. (3:34)

Sanskrit

श्रीभगवान् उवाच

इन्द्रियस्येन्द्रियस्यार्थे रागद्वेषौ व्यवस्थितौ ।

तयोर्न वशमागच्छेत्तौ ह्यस्य परिपन्थिनौ॥

इन्द्रियस्य इन्द्रियस्य-अर्थे राग-द्वेषौ-वि-अवस्थितौ,

तयोः न वशम् आ-गच्छेत् तौ हि अस्य परि-पन्थिनौ।।
