O Keshava! All I perceive are sinister signs. I find no merit in decimating my own kin in this conflict. (1:31)

निमित्तानि च पश्यामि विपरीतानि केशव ।
न च श्रेयोऽनुपश्यामि हत्वा स्वजनमाहवे॥

Commentary
Here, Sri Krishna is addressed as Keshava. Keshava, meaning "one who has beautiful long hair" or "the slayer of the Keshi demon," is an epithet of Sri Vishnu in Hindu tradition. Sri Krishna is also revered and addressed with this name.
