The Yoga of the Vision of the Universal Form

विश्वरूपदर्शनयोग

Meaning

Arjuna spoke

O, Eternal One! O, God of gods! O, Refuge of the universe—the One transcending good and evil, the Imperishable! Why should the spiritually awakened not pay their respects to you, O, Exalted One! Who is greater than you—the original Creator, even of Brahmā! (11:37)

Sanskrit

अर्जुन उवाच

कस्माच्च ते न नमेरन्महात्मन्गरीयसे ब्रह्मणोऽप्यादिकर्त्रे ।

अनन्त देवेश जगन्निवास त्वमक्षरं सदसत्तत्परं यत्॥

Word-by-word

कस्मात् च ते न नमेरन् महा-आत्मन्

गरीयसे ब्रह्मणः अपि आदि कर्त्रे! अनन्त देव-ईश जगत्-निवास, त्वम् अक्षरम्, सत्-असत्, तत्-परम् यत्।

Commentary

To reiterate, Brahmā is the creator and architect of the universe, drawing his power from God and Mother Nature, also known as Parā Prakriti.
