My Ultimate Abode is a realm from which there is no return to this world. It remains untouched by the illumination of the sun, moon, or even fire itself; it is my Supreme Dwelling. (15:6)

न तद्भासयते सूर्यो न शशाङ्को न पावकः ।
यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम॥

न तत् भासयते सूर्यः, न शशाङ्कः, न पावकः,
यत् गत्वा न नि-वर्तन्ते तत् धाम परमम् मम।
Commentary
The descriptions in verses 15:4, 5, 6 might give the impression to some that the Abode of God, referred to as a “Station” or “Destination,” is a physical location within time and space, akin to the moon, a gross existence, or heaven, a subtle existence. However, it’s important to recognize that these terms are employed due to the limitations of language and human comprehension. When discussing God’s Supreme Abode, we are delving into a realm beyond the confines of time, space, and creation.
In essence, God’s Supreme Abode transcends the boundaries of the physical and the subtle, existing in a realm that defies our ordinary understanding. It’s a realm of divine transcendence that cannot be adequately described using the limitations of human language or conceptualization. Therefore, while these terms are used metaphorically to convey certain aspects of this transcendence, they should not be taken literally but understood as symbolic representations of the ineffable nature of God’s realm.
