Commentary

To remind the reader once again, “yajna” generally means a Vedic “sacrificial fire-ceremony.” However, the Gitā gives a more comprehensive meaning to the word, which is “any spiritual pursuit.” An illustrative list of such pursuits is provided in verses 4:24-33 and 10:25.
