Supreme God Krishna spoke
Those lacking in wisdom, unaware of My transcendent and imperishable nature, which exists beyond the realm of sensory perception, consider Me as an ordinary mortal. (7:24)

अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः ।
परं भावमजानन्तो ममाव्ययमनुत्तमम्॥

Commentary
The verse affirms the principle of Avatāra, which denotes an Incarnation of the Absolute. It underscores the idea that the Formless Divine can take on a tangible form, often mistaken by the unperceptive as that of an ordinary mortal, albeit one possessing special, miraculous powers.
